The Challenge

Meals on Wheels Queensland have been a trusted community pillar for over 65 years and have more than 6500 passionate volunteers operating out of over 140 locations across Queensland. Given their growth and the ever changing digital landscape it was time to retire their old bespoke website and develop a modern digital presence on a more flexible, supported CMS. The website needed to appeal to clients and their families, volunteers, partners and potential donors and ensure each demographic could easily find the information and services they needed. The website also needed to serve as a portal for services and volunteers to access important information and functionality in order to run their service.

After completing a thorough discovery and strategy phase we created a website development plan that achieved all of the clients goals and ensured that each of the unique target markets needs would be met. The WordPress solution that we developed has modernised their digital presence, improved the user experience and made it simple for users to find a meal, donate or to get involved with a local service. It also serves as a member portal to streamline operations and deliver important information and resources to services.
